Genius Merchant Sync Installation Guide

Before installation, confirm that your nopCommerce line is listed on the supported versions page, back up your database and site files, and verify the SHA-256 checksum of the downloaded release.

1. Sign in to nopCommerce as an administrator.
2. Open Configuration → Local plugins and choose Upload plugin or theme.
3. Upload the unmodified multi-version ZIP. nopCommerce selects the plugin binary for your supported version.
4. Complete the requested application restart, locate Misc.GeniusMerchantSync, and select Install.
5. Open Configure, activate the single-store license, and enter your store-specific Merchant and OAuth settings. Never send a client secret, token, password, or license key in a support ticket.
6. Run a dry run first. Review the sanitized result before enabling manual or scheduled synchronization.

Keep the previous verified ZIP and database backup until the updated installation passes its store-specific smoke test. Uninstall does not automatically authorize deletion of retained synchronization data.
